OBJECTIVE Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) of the pancreas show heterogeneous proliferations with latent malignancy. Mucins (MUC) are high-molecular-weight glycoproteins, with an aberrant expression profile in various malignancies.
