We present a new strontium isotope data set obtained from well-preserved rhynchonellid shells collected in a selection of sections in the Urgonian formations cropping out in the western Swiss Jura in order to precise its age. We calibrate these results with a new 87Sr/86Sr data set obtained from belemnites from the Vocontian Trough, which are precisely dated by ammonite stratigraphy (Early Hauterivian to Late Barremian).
