We study the high-energy equivalence between helicity ±1/2 gravitinos and Goldstinos in order to calculate the production of gravitinos in time-dependent scalar and gravitational backgrounds. We derive this equivalence for equations of motion, paying attention to some subtleties, mainly due to external sources, that are not present in the standard proofs. We also propose the Landau gauge as a simplifying alternative to the usual gauge choices, both for practical calculations and in the…

Equivalence between Kaluza Klein modes of gravitinos and goldstinos in brane induced supersymmetry breaking
We identify the goldstino fields that give mass to the Kaluza Klein modes of five dimensional supergravity, when supersymmetry breaking is induced by brane effects. We then proof the four dimensional
Coupled fields in external background with application to nonthermal production of gravitinos
We provide the formalism for the quantization of systems of coupled bosonic and fermionic fields in a time dependent classical background. The occupation numbers of the particle eigenstates can be
The gravitino abundance in supersymmetric `new' inflation models
Abstract We consider the abundance of gravitinos created from the vacuum fluctuation, in a class of `new' inflation models for which global supersymmetry is a good approximation. Immediately after
Superconformal symmetry, supergravity and cosmology
We introduce the general N = 1 gauge theory superconformally coupled to supergravity. The theory has local SU(2,2|1) symmetry and no dimensional parameters. The superconformal origin of the
Supersymmetric thermalization and quasi-thermal universe: Consequences for gravitinos and leptogenesis
Motivated by our earlier paper [Allahverdi R and Mazumdar A, Quasi-thermal universe and its implications for gravitino production, baryogenesis and dark matter, 2005 Preprint hep-ph/0505050], we
Preheating of massive fermions after inflation: analytical results
Non-perturbative production of fermions after chaotic inflation has been the object of several studies in the very recent past. However, the results in the most interesting case of production of
PeV scale supersymmetry breaking and the IceCube neutrino flux
A bstractThe observation of very high energy neutrino events at IceCube has grasped a lot of attention in the fields of both astrophysics and particle physics. It has been speculated that these high
Stochastic gravitational waves from spin- 3/2 fields
Stochastic gravitational waves can be produced during the preheating when out-of-equilibrium particles are produced with an anisotropic stress tensor. We discuss the case where these particles carry
MSW-resonant fermion mixing during reheating
Abstract We study the dynamics of reheating in which an inflaton field couples two flavor fermions through Yukawa-couplings. When two fermions have a mixing term with a constant coupling, we show
Search for top-squark pair production with the LHC experiment ATLAS in final states with b-quarks and tau leptons
A search for supersymmetry in final states with two b-quarks, two tau leptons and weakly-interacting particles is presented. The signal model assumes direct production of top-squark pairs decaying to
