Vasculitis can affect every organ of the digestive system. In many cases, it may first present with gastrointestinal symptoms. In several forms of vasculitis, including Churg Strauss syndrome, Henoch-Schönlein purpura, and lupus, the majority of patients have gastrointestinal involvement.
