Altitude, as one of the environmental factors, make s an impression on function and growth of plants in terre s- trial ecosystems. Wood Betony (Stachys lavandulifolia Vahl.) belongs to the Lamiaceae family which amply uses in tra- ditional and modern medicine such as treatment of infection, Asthma, and agonal illness, especial rheumatism. The herb is also used as nutrient for the stomach upset, and is effective to reduce the discomposure, the digestive disorders, and the genital tumours and…

Essential Oils of Salvia hydrangea DC. ex Benth. from Kiasar-Hezarjarib regions, Iran-Impact of eEnvironmental Factors as Quality Determinants
The focus of the present study was to investigate the chemical composition of essential oil of Salvia hydrangea DC. ex Benth. growing wild in Kiasar-Hezarjrib, Iran. In addition, effects of altitude
Some Autecological Properties of Medicinal Plant of Salvia hydrangea L. in Mazandaran, Iran
TLDR
It was concluded that the plant generally prefers the climate conditions with high temperature and high rainfall, and in lower altitudes with more soil nutrients, there are more optimal conditions for the domestication and harvesting of S. hydrangea L. as a medicinal plant.
Essential Oil Diversity among Stachys laxa Boiss. & Buhse Populations in North of Iran
TLDR
The essential oil composition of Iranian populations of Stachys laxa were evaluated and revealed that distinct differences in the content of compounds depending on region of sample collection.
Effects of Climatic Factors on the Quantity of Essential Oil and Dry Matter Yield of Coriander ( Coriandrum sativum L. )
Coriander ( Coriandrum sativum L. ), is an annual and Mediterranean region species whose oil is widely used in the food, health, cosmetics, soft drinks and chocolate industries in all around of the
Ecological Properties of Medicinal Plant of Hymenocrater calycinus (Boiss.) Benth. in north- eastern Khorasan, Iran
Hymenocrater calycinus (Boiss.) Benth. is endemic to Iran and it is growing natural habitats in the north east of Iran. In traditional medicine, this plant use for flu treatment, diuretic,
The autecological characteristics of Thymus transcaspicus Klokov medicinal plant in North East Rangelands of Iran
Thymus transcaspicus Klokov. (Lamiaceae) is one of the most important medicinal plants had been used in traditional medicine in natural sites of mountainous areas of Iran. This study is subjected to
First report from Indonesia, phytochemical composition of essential oils from leaves and fruits of Zanthoxylum avicennae (Lam.) DC.
TLDR
The volatile leaf oil and extract of Z. avicennae [Karangean] had strong anticancer activity, antibacterial and antifungi activity on plant pathogenic fungi, and the fruit essential oil contained citral, 1-octanol, 4-methyl-6-acetoxyhexanal and linalool which show strong antIfungi activities.
Hundred Fifty Years of Herbarium Collections Provide a Reliable Resource of Volatile Terpenoid Profiles Showing Strong Species Effect in Four Medicinal Species of Salvia Across the Mediterranean
TLDR
Terpenoid profiles across time and geographic space for four medicinal species of Salvia across the Mediterranean to assess the suitability of using herbarium specimens in chemical analyses found strong species effects identified on both the targeted and untargeted chemical composition.
Study of the genetic and phenotypic variation among wild and cultivated clary sages provides interesting avenues for breeding programs of a perfume, medicinal and aromatic plant
TLDR
This study characterized the genetic and phenotypic variation of a collection of six wild S. sclarea populations from Croatia, sampled along an altitudinal gradient, and of populations of three S. Sclarea traditional cultivars used for essential oil production and for ornamental purposes, respectively.
Study of the genetic and phenotypic variation among wild and cultivated clary sages provides interesting avenues for breeding programs of a perfume, medicinal and aromatic plant
TLDR
This study characterized the genetic and phenotypic variation of a collection of six wild S. sclarea populations from Croatia, sampled along an altitudinal gradient, and identified some wild populations with high sclareol content and early-flowering phenotypes as good candidates for future breeding programs.
