The influence of electromagnetic radiation with frequency of 1.8 GHz and 2.4 GHz on the concentration of calcium in exfoliated cells of buccal epithelium was studied. The cells were exposed to microwave radiation at two frequencies (frequency 1.8 GHz, surface power density 2.5 μW/cm2, as well as frequency 2.4 GHz, surface power density 2.3 μW/cm2). After exposure to microwaves for 1, 2 and 3 hours immediately or after a delay of 1 or 2 hours, the calcium concentration in cells was assessed by… Expand

Cancer induction molecular pathways and HF-EMF irradiation
The data support the proposition that long term HF-EMF exposure associated with improper use of cell phones can potentially cause cancer. Expand
Analysis of the Genotoxic Effects of Mobile Phone Radiation using Buccal Micronucleus Assay: A Comparative Evaluation.
The number of micronucleated cells/ 1000 exfoliated buccal mucosal cells was found to be significantly increased in high mobilePhone users group than the low mobile phone users group, suggesting that the genotoxicity can be avoided to some extent by the regular use of headphones. Expand
Transient effect of weak electromagnetic fields on calcium ion concentration in Arabidopsis thaliana
It is shown that in Arabidopsis thaliana, changes in Ca2-concentrations can be induced by combinations of magnetic and electromagnetic fields that match Ca2+-ion cyclotron resonance conditions, which may be relevant for perception of these combined fields. Expand
High radiofrequency radiation at Stockholm Old Town: An exposimeter study including the Royal Castle, Supreme Court, three major squares and the Swedish Parliament
The results of outdoor RF radiation exposure at Stockholm Old Town are significantly above the scientific benchmark for possible health risks, and below the reference level on 10,000,000 µW/m2 established by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). Expand
Natural and man-made terrestrial electromagnetic noise: an outlook
Abstarct The terrestrial environment is continuously exposed to electromagnetic radiations which set up a «background» electromagnetic noise. Within the Non Ionizing Radiation band (NIR), i.e. forExpand
Mobile phones, cordless phones and the risk for brain tumours.
The Hardell-group conducted two case control studies on brain tumours including assessment of use of mobile phones and cordless phones and found highest risk for ipsilateral mobile phone use in the >10 year latency group, and a decreasing incidence was found for acoustic neuroma during the same period. Evaluation of Mobile Phone and Cordless Phone Use and Glioma Risk Using the Bradford Hill Viewpoints from 1965 on Association or Causation
RF radiation should be regarded as a human carcinogen causing glioma, and Bradford Hill's viewpoints from 1965 on association or causation were used onglioma risk and use of mobile or cordless phones. Expand
