Successful rotator cuff tendon repair depends on secure tendon-to-bone healing. Recombinant human parathyroid hormone (rhPTH) has been shown in multiple studies to accelerate bone healing. Recent studies have also shown that rhPTH is chondrogenic by increasing chondrocyte recruitment and differentiation.
