OBJECTIVE The aim of the study was to assess the effect of platelet-rich plasma on arthroscopic double-row rotator cuff repair. METHODS The study included 60 patients with arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. Thirthy patients (mean age: 57.2±7.4; 16 males and 14 females) underwent arthroscopic double-row repair alone (Group 1), another 30 (mean age: 56.9±6.0; 15 males and 15 females) had an injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) (Group 2).
