The three organophosphorous insecticides dimethoate, dichlorvos, and parathion-methyl were investigated in subchronic experiments on bone marrow cell chromosomes. In the literature these compounds were reported to exhibit both positive and negative results in mutagenicity tests demanding further investigations in subchronic tests.
