We use the Preisach model to easily and accurately match the magnetic response of a laboratory-scale transformer and numerically simulate a series LCR circuit. Excellent agreement is obtained with experiment over a wide range of parameters for both non-resonant and ferroresonant behaviour. We then use each of the system's three independent parameters as bifurcation parameters and search for additional ferroresonant solutions, thus demonstrating the potential predictive power of such simulations…
