Dietary l-arginine supplementation decreases backfat thickness and increases intramuscular fat content in growing-finishing pigs, but the underlying mechanisms are unknown. In this study, the effect of arginine on differentiation of porcine intramuscular preadipocytes was investigated in vitro.
