  • This paper introduces the concurrent language Braid. It is an attempt to develop from work in concurrent logic languages towards a more general purpose concurrent language which subsumes concurrent object-oriented languages in the Actors model, and more traditional concurrent languages like occam. Braid is a programming language in its own right, but can be compiled down to a concurrent logic language, giving it a declarative semantics.
