Quantifying Aqueous Plutonium Using Hybrid Extractive Scintillation Resins

Determination of kinetic parameters of redox reactions using CE‐ICP‐MS: A case study for the reduction of Np(V) by hydroxylamine hydrochloride

The results and a comparison with literature data show that the coupling of CE to ICP‐MS provides a powerful analytical tool for the investigation of the kinetic aspects of redox reactions of actinides at low concentrations, and the method presented here can be extended to the investigationof the kinetic parameters of other redox systems containing different actinide (or transition metals) and oxidants/reductants.

Expanding the Chemistry of Molecular U(2+) Complexes: Synthesis, Characterization, and Reactivity of the {[C5 H3 (SiMe3 )2 ]3 U}(-) Anion.

Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility data for 1 and 2-K(crypt) reveal lower room temperature χM T values relative to the experimental values for the 5f(3) U(3+) precursors, as well as stability studies monitored by UV/Vis spectroscopy.

Electrochemical, computational and spectroscopic investigation on local environment of plutonium in ionic liquid and aqueous medium: a comparative study

Abstract With an aim to understand the nature of species, cyclic voltammetry (CV) of Pu(IV) in dilute HBr and in a room temperature ionic liquid (RTIL), 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide (C8mimBr)

Evolution of the periodic table through the synthesis of new elements

Abstract This brief introduction to the synthesis and chemistry of elements discovered since 1940 is focused primarily on Z=93–118. The goal of this work is not to simply catalogue the nuclear fusion
