In a review of the Alzheimer's and burnout literature, it seems apparent that Alzheimer's caregivers, especially male caregivers, are particularly subject to burnout. Male caregivers are seemingly more likely to experience the typical symptoms of burnout, namely: depersonalization, diminished personal accomplishment, and emotional exhaustion.
