The paper deals with an initial-boundary value problem for the radiation transfer equation with Fresnel matching conditions at media interfaces. Three modifications of the Monte Carlo method are considered. These methods differ from each other by the degree of trajectories branching. The complexity of algorithms is estimated numerically and recommendations on the use of Monte Carlo methods are given. Numerical experiments on the visualization of three-dimensional medium are carried out.
