This study adds 8 bopyrids to the 5 species previously known from Taiwan. None of the species are new to science, but all are new to the Taiwanese fauna. All of the hosts for the 8 species are new. Four species redescribed herein, Pseudione retrorsa Richardson, Parioninella obovata Shiino, Parapenaeon tertium Nierstrasz and Brender a Brandis, and Bopyrus stebbingi Nierstrasz and Brender a Brandis, are reported for the 1st time since their original descriptions, with each representing a…
A review of the Bopyridae (Crustacea: Isopoda) of Singapore, with the addition of four species to that fauna.
TLDR
The fauna of parasitic isopods of the family Bopyridae in Singapore is only poorly known, consisting of only seven species in as many genera in five subfamilies, with 11 species now known from Singapore with their host species and citations.
A new locality and host for Pseudione minimocrenulata Nierstrasz & Brender à Brandis, 1931 (Crustacea: Isopoda: Bopyridae) in the Indian Ocean, with comments on the identity of the type specimens
TLDR
Examination of type material revealed that the type series contains isopod pairs of two different species, which represents a new host species and locality for the parasite which has been reported only twice before from the Kei Islands and Madagascar.
A Review of Bopyrids (Crustacea: Isopoda: Bopyridae) Parasitic on Caridean Shrimps (Crustacea: Decapoda: Caridea) from China
ABSTRACT A review of 37 bopyrid isopods known to infest 43 species of caridean shrimps in China is presented, based on literature records and new material. Synonymies are provided for all species,
A new genus of entoniscid isopod (Crustacea: Peracarida: Bopyroidea) parasitic on common intertidal shore crabs from the Ryukyu Islands, Japan, with a new distributional record of Kepon grapsi (Nobili, 1905) (Bopyridae) nov. comb.
̶ Two species of bopyroid isopods are first reported on crabs collected from rocky beaches of Yoron Island, middle part of Ryukyu Islands, Japan. A bopyrid, Kepon grapsi (Nobili, 1905) nov. comb., is
A new species and two new records of Minicopenaeon Bourdon, 1981 (Crustacea: Isopoda: Bopyridae) from China
TLDR
Three species of the parasitic isopod genus Minicopenaeon Bourdon, 1981 are reported from China, one new to science and two new records from mainland China, as well as two newly recorded as host species for bopyrids.
Redescription of the Mediterranean endemic parasitic isopod Anuropodione amphiandra (Codreanu, Codreanu & Pike, 1966) n. comb. (Crustacea: Isopoda: Bopyridae) from Munida rutllanti Zariquiey Alvarez, 1952, with new records from Turkey and a review of the genus Anuropodione Bourdon, 1967
Seven species of bopyrid isopods were previously known from Turkish Mediterranean waters; a purported eighth species, Orthione griffenis Markham, 2004, is based on incorrect identification and likely
Three abdominal parasitic isopods (Isopoda: Epicaridea: Bopyridae: Athelginae) on hermit crabs from China and Hong Kong
TLDR
Three bopyrid isopods of the subfamily Athelginae parasitizing hermit crabs collected in Chinese waters are discussed and described and data on their prevalence with hermit crab hosts are provided.
Phylogenetic position of Bopyroides hippolytes, with comments on the rearrangement of the mitochondrial genome in isopods (Isopoda: Epicaridea: Bopyridae)
TLDR
Bopyroides hippolytes should be excluded from the Bopyrinae and has a close affinity with Argeia pugettensis based on molecular and morphological data, and conserved syntenic blocks of mitochondrial gene order have distinctive characteristics at a subordinal level and may be helpful for understanding the higher taxonomic level relationships of Isopoda.
Recent and fossil Isopoda Bopyridae parasitic on squat lobsters and porcelain crabs (Crustacea: Anomura: Chirostyloidea and Galatheoidea), with notes on nomenclature and biogeography
TLDR
The deepest bathymetric records of bopyrids on squat lobster hosts 5210 m, and records of swellings interpreted as indications ofbopyrid presence in fossil host taxa are noted.

TLDR
Twelve species in 12 genera were identified and classified onto 7 subfamilies, of which following 8 species are new to Korea : Metaboyrus ovalis Shiino, Bopyrissa pyriforma (shiino), Ione cornuta Spence Bate, Parapenaeonella distincta ShiINO, Bopyriodes Hippolytes (Kroyer) and Pseudostegias dulicilacuum Markham.
A New Species of Albunione Markham & Boyko, 1999 (Crustacea: Isopoda: Bopyridae: Pseudioninae) from Taiwan
TLDR
Albunione is transferred from the bopyrid subfamily Ioninae to the subfamily Pseudioninae and an emended diagnosis for the genus is presented.
Two species of deep-sea flabelliferan isopods from Taiwan (Crustacea: Peracarida: Aegidae, Anuropidae)
Aega falcata sp. nov. is described from two female specimens from about 500m off Taiwan. The species' most distinctive feature, which readily distinguishes it from all others described, is the
