BACKGROUND This study evaluates the association between Internal Addiction (IA) and psychiatric co-morbidity in the literature. METHODS Meta-analyses were conducted on cross-sectional, case-control and cohort studies which examined the relationship between IA and psychiatric co-morbidity.
