The phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B/mammalian target of rapamycin-pathway (PI3K/AKT/mTOR-pathway) plays a role in the regulation of cell proliferation, cell survival, angiogenesis and resistance to anti-tumor treatments.
