The Anxiety Severity Interview for Children and Adolescents (ASICA) was developed for the repeated assessment of the impact of anxiety and control over anxiety symptoms. The ASICA incorporates three main components of anxiety: physical response, avoidant behaviour and anxious thoughts. The objective of this study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the ASICA in children with anxiety disorder (n = 139, age 8-18 years) and a non-anxious control group (n = 40, age 8-18 years). The Pediatric Anxiety Rating Scale (PARS): development and psychometric properties.
TLDR
The PARS is a useful clinician-rated instrument for assessing pediatric anxiety symptoms, severity, and impairment, particularly in treatment studies and further study of the psychometric properties is warranted.
The Screen for Child Anxiety Related Emotional Disorders (SCARED): scale construction and psychometric characteristics.
TLDR
The SCARED shows promise as a screening instrument for anxiety disorders and has good internal consistency, test-retest reliability, discriminative validity, and moderate parent-child agreement.
Children's Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale: reliability and validity.
TLDR
The CY-BOCS yields reliable and valid subscale and total scores for obsessive-compulsive symptom severity in children and adolescents with OCD and may be influenced by age of the child and the hazards associated with integrating data from parental and patient sources.
The Multidimensional Anxiety Scale for Children (MASC): factor structure, reliability, and validity.
TLDR
The MASC factor structure, which presumably reflects the in the vivo structure of pediatric anxiety symptoms, is invariant across gender and age and shows excellent internal reliability and is a promising self-report scale for assessing anxiety in children and adolescents.

TLDR
It is suggested that the CY–BOCS Total Score may represent an inaccurate assessment of symptom severity and supports the use of the revised Severity and Disturbance factors in assessing illness severity.

TLDR
Preliminary findings suggest that the SDQ functions as well as the Rutter questionnaires while offering the following additional advantages: a focus on strengths as as difficulties; better coverage of inattention, peer relationships, and prosocial behaviour; a shorter format; and a single form suitable for both parents and teachers, perhaps thereby increasing parent-teacher correlations.
Assessment of childhood anxiety
Anxiety disorders among children are quite common with prevalence rates estimated at up to 20%. Although somewhat neglected in the past, recent empirical studies have increased our understanding of
