The analysis of attenuation of trapezoid ridge waveguide by finite difference time domain

Abstract

The article analyses the attenuation characteristics and power capacities of trapezoid double ridge waveguide in TE mode by using FDTD firstly to abate microwave deterioration when transmitting in ridge waveguide. Meanwhile, the article offers the attenuation constant and power capacity data and spectrum graph in some degree of trapezoid ridge waveguide in different structural parameter. The result demonstrates the standard attenuation constant data of trapezoid double ridge waveguide decrease progressively when frequency enlarging, while normalization attenuation constant monotonous increase progressively when normalization cut-off wavelength enlarging. The power capacity monotonous decrease progressively when normalization cut-off wavelength enlarging and increasing when ridge separation distance or ridge breadth enlarging. The study conclusion offers certain valuable data references to the design of ridge waveguide.
