This paper describes the Web graph framework that provides simple methods to manage very large graphs, specially tailored around Web graphs. A fundamental observation about compression of the web graph was made in the construction of the LINK database. Web graph contains a fully-documented implementation of various instantaneous codes, and of parameterisable compression algorithms that achieve the best compression rates and introducing a new technique called intervalisation.
