The Veneziano amplitude is derived from fixing one degree of freedom of PSL(2,R) symmetry by the insertion of a mostly BRST exact operator. Evaluating the five-point function which consists of four open string tachyons and this gauge fixing operator, we find it equals the Veneziano amplitude up to a sign factor. The sign factor is interpreted as a signed intersection number. The result implies that the mostly BRST exact operator, which is originally used to provide two-point string amplitudes… Expand

We study two and three-point tree-level amplitudes of open strings. These amplitudes are reduced from higher-point correlation functions by using mostly BRST exact operators for gauge fixing. ForExpand
Two-point string amplitudes revisited by operator formalism
Abstract So far we have considered that a two-point string amplitude vanishes due to the infinite volume of residual gauge symmetry. However recently Erbin-Maldacena-Skliros have suggested that theExpand
Two-Point Superstring Tree Amplitudes Using the Pure Spinor Formalism
We show that the 2 point tree amplitudes in the pure spinor formalism are finite and equal to the corresponding expression in the field theories. In [arXiv:1906.06051v1-arXiv:1909.03672v3], sameExpand
Reaction amplitude for n-mesons a generalization of the Veneziano-Bardakçi-Ruegg-Virasoro model
Abstract The Veneziano model for the binary meson reaction ( n = 4), generalized by Bardakci and Ruegg and by Virasoro to n = 5, is further extended to the case of arbitrary n . The multi-resonanceExpand
String theory. Vol. 1: An introduction to the bosonic string
String Theory comprises two volumes which give a comprehensive and pedagogic account of the subject. Volume 1, first published in 1998, provides a thorough introduction to the bosonic string. TheExpand
A contour integral representation for the dual five-point function and a symmetry of the genus-4 surface in ℝ6
The invention of the 'dual resonance model' N-point functions BN motivated the development of current string theory. The simplest of these models, the four-point function B4, is the classical EulerExpand
REGGEIZED RESONANCE MODEL FOR THE PRODUCTION AMPLITUDE.
Abstract We present a generalization of Veneziano's model to the five particle (production) amplitude. The amplitude consists of multiple resonance exchanges and shows multi - Regge behaviour in allExpand
Two-point string amplitudes
Abstract We show that the two-point tree level amplitude in string theory in flat space is given by the standard free particle expression.
