Flag-transitive c .c *-geometries (also called semibiplanes ) arise naturally from consideration of certain combinatorial objects related to small sporadic and ‘almost sporadic’ groups , such as L 3 (2) , L 2 (11) , 3 A 6 , M 1 2 and M 2 2 (see , e . g ., Baumeister [2] and Baumeister and Pasechnik [4]) , as well as from classical combinatorial objects such as hypercubes and projective planes (see [2]) .
