The aim of this study was to construct and validate a simple patient-related outcome score to quantify the disability caused by Dupuytren's disease (DD), thus enabling prioritisation of treatment, to allow reliable audit of surgical outcome and to support future research. [] Key Method The Southampton Dupuytren's Scoring System (SDSS) was developed in a staged fashion according to the recommendations of The Derby Outcomes Conference.
A patient-reported outcome measure for patients with Dupuytren's disease.
TLDR
The translated version of the PROM shows good reliability, has substantial responsiveness to change and enjoys a high level of patient approval, and is recommended for patients with Dupuytren's disease.
Optimal functional outcome measures for assessing treatment for Dupuytren’s disease: a systematic review and recommendations for future practice
TLDR
There is little consistency in the reporting of outcomes for interventions in patients with Dupuytren’s disease, so a combination of these together with a disease-specific questionnaire, and physical measures of active and passive individual joint Range of movement, grip and sensibility using standardised protocols should be used for future outcomes studies.
The Italian version of the Unité Rhumatologique des Affections de la Main (URAM) for Dupuytren’s disease: The URAM-I(10)
TLDR
The URAM-I demonstrates moderate construct validity, high internal consistency and test-retest reliability, and showed a 2-factor internal structure and can be suggested for the Italian Dupuytren’s population.
Measuring functional outcome in Dupuytren's disease: A systematic review of patient-reported outcome measures.
Recovery, responsiveness and interpretability of patient-reported outcome measures after surgery for Dupuytren’s disease
TLDR
DASH outcome scores at 1 year were significantly better than at 6 weeks, suggesting that recovery is not complete by 6‬week, and the URAM score showed acceptable responsiveness, and an MIC of 10.5 on receiver operating characteristic analysis.
Usefulness of the Quick Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand (QuickDASH) Questionnaire in Dupuytren's Disease: A Prospective Cohort Study
TLDR
The usefulness of the abbreviated Spanish version of the QuickDASH, as an effective tool for evaluation of Dupuytren's disease treatment outcomes and their correlation with objective outcomes measuring improvement in residual contracture following treatment is determined.
Factors affecting functional recovery after surgery and hand therapy in patients with Dupuytren's disease.

Development of the QuickDASH: comparison of three item-reduction approaches.
TLDR
A comparison of item-reduction approaches suggested that the retention of clinically sensible and important content produced a comparable, if not slightly better, instrument than did more statistically driven approaches.
Functional outcome after surgery for Dupuytren's contracture: a prospective study.
Effect of Severity of Dupuytren contracture on disability
TLDR
There was no significant correlation between the DASH score on one hand and the total flexion contracture, the mean flexion contraction/finger, the means flexioncontracture of the proximal interphalangeal (PIP), the meanflexion contractures of the metacarpophalangeal(MCP), the number of involved hands, fingers or joints, and the AMA impairment rating on the other hand.

Evaluation of activity limitation and digital extension in Dupuytren's contracture three months after fasciectomy and hand therapy interventions.
Development of an upper extremity outcome measure: The DASH (disabilities of the arm, shoulder, and head)
TLDR
The goal is to produce a brief, self-administered measure of symptoms and functional status, with a focus on physical function, to be used by clinicians in daily practice and as a research tool.
A self-administered questionnaire for the assessment of severity of symptoms and functional status in carpal tunnel syndrome.
TLDR
It is concluded that the scales for the measurement of severity of symptoms and functional status are reproducible, internally consistent, and responsive to clinical change, and that they measure dimensions of outcomes not captured by traditional measurements of impairment of the median nerve.
Comparisons of Five Health Status Instruments for Orthopedic Evaluation
TLDR
Sensitivity of five health status questionnaires was studied in a longitudinal evaluation of orthopedic surgery to find optimal techniques for evaluating outcome in patients who have undergone total joint arthroplasty.
Unité Rhumatologique des Affections de la Main (URAM) scale: Development and validation of a tool to assess Dupuytren's disease–specific disability
TLDR
This work aimed to develop and validate a patient‐reported functional outcome measure for Dupuytren's disease and demonstrate its utility in clinical practice and in animal studies.
