If the penis is sturdily erect, but without desire, tightened in spasm, that remedy must be prepared that quickly succours: for the lower belly swells and the jetting of cold moisture is the end of hope. The cause is loss of spirit through excessive patency of the arterial orifices: there is hardly any pain then, but fainting is soon imminent if the affair is not managed properly. If wind is the cause, with accompanying pain, the penis is distended but the danger is less.
