We perform numerical simulations to study the secular orbital evolution and dynamical structure in the HD 69830 planetary system, using the best-fit orbital solutions by Lovis and coworkers. In the simulations, we show that a triplet Neptunian system is stable for at least 2 Gyr and that the stability would not be greatly influenced even if we varied the planetary masses. In addition, we employ Laplace-Lagrange secular theory to investigate the long-term behavior of the system, and the outcomes… Expand

Dynamical evolution and stability maps of the Proxima Centauri system
Proxima Centauri was recently discovered to host an Earth-mass planet of Proxima b, and a 215-day signal which is probably a potential planet c. In this work, we investigate the dynamical evolutionExpand
RESEARCH PAPER: The dynamical architecture and habitable zones of the quintuplet planetary system 55 Cancri
We perform numerical simulations to study the secular orbital evolution and dynamical structure of the quintuplet planetary system 55 Cancri with the self-consistent orbital solutions by Fischer andExpand
Extrasolar Planetary Dynamics with a Generalized Planar Laplace-Lagrange Secular Theory
The dynamical evolution of nearly half of the known extrasolar planets in multiple-planet systems may be dominated by secular perturbations. The commonly high eccentricities of the planetary orbitsExpand
Dynamical simulations of the planetary system HD 69830
The star HD 69830 exhibits radial velocity variations attri buted to three planets as well as infrared emission at 8− 35 m attributed to a warm debris disk. Previous studies have developed modelsExpand
A secular theory of coplanar, non‐resonant planetary system
We present the secular theory of coplanar N-planet system, in the absence of mean motion resonances between the planets. This theory relies on the averaging of a perturbation to the two-body problemExpand
Habitable zones for Earth-mass planets in multiple planetary systems
Abstract We perform numerical simulations to study the Habitable zones (HZs) and dynamical structure for Earth-mass planets in multiple planetary systems. For example, in the HD 69830 system, weExpand
The 1/1 resonance in extrasolar planetary systems
We study orbits of planetary systems with two planets, for planar motion, at the 1/1 resonance. This means that the semimajor axes of the two planets are almost equal, but the eccentricities and theExpand
Stability of Trojan planets in multi-planetary systems
Today there are more than 340 extra-solar planets in about 270 extra-solar systems confirmed. Besides the observed planets there exists also the possibility of a Trojan planet moving in the sameExpand
Are retrograde resonances possible in multi-planet systems?
Context. Most multi-planetary systems are characterized by hot-Jupiters close to their central star, moving on eccentric orbits. From a dynamical point of view, compact multi-planetary systems form aExpand
The influence of giant planets near a mean motion resonance on earth-like planets in the habitable zone of sun-like stars
We present a numerical study of several two-planet systems based on the motions of Jupiter and Saturn, in which the two giant planets move in low eccentric orbits close to a mean motion resonance. ItExpand

Dynamical Stability and Habitability of the γ Cephei Binary-Planetary System
It has been suggested that the long-lived residual radial velocity variations observed in the precision radial velocity measurements of the primary of γ Cephei (HR 8974, HD 222404, HIP 116727) areExpand
COULD THE 47 URSAE MAJORIS PLANETARY SYSTEM BE A SECOND SOLAR SYSTEM? PREDICTING THE EARTH-LIKE PLANETS
We numerically investigated the dynamical architecture of 47 UMa with the planetary configuration of the best-fit orbital solutions by Fischer and coworkers. We systematically studied the existenceExpand
Effects of Secular Interactions in Extrasolar Planetary Systems
This paper studies the effects of dynamical interactions among the planets in observed extrasolar planetary systems, including hypothetical additional bodies, with a focus on secular perturbations.Expand
On the Extrasolar Multiplanet System around HD 160691
We reanalyze the precision radial velocity (RV) observations of HD 160691 (μ Ara) by the Anglo-Australian Planet Search Team. The star is supposed to host two Jovian companions (HD 160691b, HDExpand
The dynamical simulations of the planets orbiting GJ 876
We have performed simulations to investigate the dynamics of the M dwarf star GJ 876 in an attempt to reveal any stabilizing mechanism for sustaining the system. We simulated different coplanar andExpand
Formation and structure of the three Neptune-mass planets system around HD 69830

A statistical stability analysis of earth-like planetary orbits in binary systems
This paper explores the stability of an Earth-like planet orbiting a solar-mass star in the presence of a stellar companion, using ~400,000 numerical integrations. Given the chaotic nature of theExpand

An extrasolar planetary system with three Neptune-mass planets
TLDR
Simulations show that the system of three Neptune-mass planets orbiting the nearby star HD 69830 is in a dynamically stable configuration and theoretical calculations favour a mainly rocky composition for both inner planets, while the outer planet probably has a significant gaseous envelope surrounding its rocky/icy core.
