Removal of color from aqueous solution by using low cost easily available adsorbent was conducted by batch experiment. The potential of the low cost adsorbent (Marble powder-treated and untreated) to remove methylene red from aqueous solution were assessed at room temperature. Laboratory investigation of the potential of marble powder and sulphuric acid treated marble powder to remove dye color from aqueous solution has been studied.
