A study was conducted into the conservation requirements of the isolated population of the Red-tailed Black-Cockatoo Calyptorhynchus rnagnificus in southeastern South Australia and south-western Victoria. The range and status of the population are clarified and earlier suggestions of the population's dependence on Brown Stringybark Eucalyptus baxteri are confirmed.
