We study the modified Friedmann equation in the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker universe with quantum effect. Our modified results mainly stem from the new entropy-area relation and the novel idea of Padmanabhan, who considers the cosmic space to be emerging as the cosmic time progresses, so that the expansion rate of the universe is determined by the difference of degrees of freedom between the holographic surface and the bulk inside. We also discuss the possibility of having bounce cosmological…

Bouncing universe in a heat bath

We develop a thermal description for photon modes within the context of bouncing universe. Within this study, we start with a Lorentz-breaking dispersion relation which accounts for modified

Entropy maximization in the emergent gravity paradigm

The accelerated expansion of the universe can be interpreted as a quest for satisfying holographic equipartition. It can be expressed by a simple law, $\Delta V = \Delta t\left(N_{surf}-

Emergence of cosmic space and the maximization of horizon entropy

The spatial expansion of the universe can be described as the emergence of space with the progress of cosmic time, through a simple equation, $\Delta V = \Delta t\left(N_{surf}- N_{bulk}\right)$.

First law of thermodynamics and emergence of cosmic space in a non-flat universe

The emergence of cosmic space as cosmic time progresses is an exciting idea advanced by Padmanabhan to explain the accelerated expansion of the universe. The generalization of Padmanabhan's

The accelerated expansion of the universe can be interpreted as a quest for satisfying holographic equipartition. It can be expressed by a simple law, ∆V = ∆t (Nsurf −Nbulk) which leads to the

Emergence of cosmic space and horizon entropy maximization from Tsallis and Cirto entropy

Emergence of cosmic space and its connection with thermodynamic principles

The recent research on the connection between gravity and thermodynamics suggests that gravity could be an emergent phenomenon. Following this, Padmanabhan proposed a novel idea that the expansion of

Note on the emergence of cosmic space in modified gravities

Intrigued by the holographic principle, Padmanabhan recently proposed a novel idea, saying that our cosmic space is emergent as cosmic time progresses. In particular, the expansion rate of the

Emergent Friedmann equation from the evolution of cosmic space revisited

Following the recent study on the emergent Friedmann equation from the expansion of cosmic space for a flat universe, we apply this method to a nonflat universe, and modify the evolution equation to

Emergence of space and spacetime dynamics of Friedmann-Robertson-Walker universe

A bstractIn a recent paper [arXiv:1206.4916] by T. Padmanabhan, it was argued that our universe provides an ideal setup to stress the issue that cosmic space is emergent as cosmic time progresses and

Emergence of spaces and the dynamic equations of FRW universes in the f(R) theory and deformed Hořava-Lifshitz theory

It has been shown that Friedmann equation of FRW universe can be derived from the idea which says cosmic space is emergent as cosmic time progresses and our universe is expanding towards the state

Emergence of Cosmic Space and the Generalized Holographic Equipartition

Recently, a novel idea about our expanding Universe was proposed by T. Padmanabhan [arXiv:1206.4916]. He suggested that the expansion of our Universe can be thought of as the emergence of space as

Emergence of spacetime dynamics in entropy corrected and braneworld models

A very interesting new proposal on the origin of the cosmic expansion was recently suggested by Padmanabhan [arXiv:1206.4916]. He argued that the difference between the surface degrees of freedom and

Covariant entropy bound and loop quantum cosmology

We examine Bousso's covariant entropy bound conjecture in the context of radiation filled, spatially flat, Friedmann-Robertson-Walker models. The bound is violated near the big bang. However, the

Cosmological model from the holographic equipartition law with a modified Rényi entropy

Cosmological equations were recently derived by Padmanabhan from the expansion of cosmic space due to the difference between the degrees of freedom on the surface and in the bulk in a region of
