To improve the ultraviolet resistance and thermal stability of waterborne polyurethane, stable waterborne polyurethane/nano-cerium oxide hybrid dispersions were obtained by adding nano-cerium colloids to previously synthesized waterborne polyurethane dispersions. The dried ceria colloid was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM).
