Phosphatidylglycerophosphate (PG-P) synthase catalyzes the synthesis of PG-P from CDP-diacylglycerol and sn-glycerol 3-phosphate and functions as the committed and rate-limiting step in the biosynthesis of cardiolipin (CL).
