This paper provides a basis for investigating "The Origin of Artificial Species," as a robot can be considered as an artificial creature. To design an artificial creature, its general internal architecture is presented and its artificial chromosomes are proposed as its essential components. Rity as an artificial creature is developed in a virtual world of PC to test the world's first robotic "chromosomes," which are a set of computerized DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid) codes for creating robots…

Genetic Representation for Evolvable Artificial Creature

A genetic representation method to evolve artificial creature's personality by using artificial genome and evolutionary generative algorithm is proposed and the artificial creature, Rity, is developed in a virtual world of PC to test the effectiveness of this representation scheme.

Evolutionary Generative Process for an Artificial Creature's Personality

An evolutionary process is proposed that generates a genome encoding a specific personality of an artificial creature that evolves a population of genomes such that it customizes the genome, which meets a simplified set of personality traits desired by the user.

Evolutionary Generation of Artificial Creature's Personality for Ubiquitous Services

The Evolutionary Generative Process for an Artificial Creature’s Personality (EGPP) evolves a genome population such that it customizes the genome, meeting a simplified set of personality traits desired by the user.

Multi-objective evolutionary generation process for specific personalities of artificial creature

By proposed MOEGPP, nondominated genomes having specific personalities can be obtained and they are successfully tested by using an artificial creature, Rity, in the virtual 3D world created in a PC.

Evolutionary multi-objective optimization for generating artificial creature’s personality

To facilitate the individuality of generated artificial creature, complement of (1-k) dominance and pruning method considering deviation are proposed, and multi-objective generating process of an artificial creature's personality is proposed.

Interactive Genetic Algorithm for Designing the Appearance of Software Robot using Homologous Chromosome Representation

Genetic representation for the appearance of software robot, which is inspired by homologous chromosomes is proposed, which converges to the most preferable appearance to user's choice.
