TO THE EDITOR: DesRoches and colleagues’ survey (1) shows that human behavior resists even beneficial change. I have 2 main disagreements with their conclusions. First, that “[f]ew physicians could meet meaningful use criteria in early 2012” at the beginning of adoption of these criteria is predictable and not due to physician influence alone.
