The nuclear factor kappaB (NFkappaB) superfamily of eukaryotic transcription factors plays an important role in carcinogenesis. NF-kappaB and its regulators are linked to various signal transduction pathways as well as transcriptional activation events that mediate critical stages of cell proliferation.
