Abstract

The paper outlines the process of the modernisation and improvement of the general administrative procedure in FYR Macedonia. Besides a review of the key novelties and accompanying critical remarks, the paper presents the standards and guidelines for the functioning of the administration which served as a basis for the preparation of the Macedonian Administrative Procedure Act (GAPA), along with various theoretical perspectives on their sources, applicability, and value in use.
