BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Recently, surgeons have used an expanded endonasal surgical approach (EENS) to access skull base lesions not previously accessible by minimally invasive techniques. Reconstruction of the large skull base defects created during EENS is necessary to prevent postoperative CSF leaks.
