We ascribe the interpretation of the twin kilohertz Quasi Periodic Oscillations (kHz QPOs) of X-ray spectra of Low Mass X-Ray Binaries (LMXBs) to MHD Alfven wave oscillations in the different mass density regions of the accreted matter at the preferred radius, and the upper kHz QPO frequency coincides with the Keplerian frequency. The proposed model concludes that the kHz QPO frequencies depend inversely on the preferred radius, and that theoretical relation between the upper frequency (v 2…

The applications of the MHD Alfvén wave oscillation model for kHz quasi-periodic oscillations
In this paper, we improve the previous work on the MHD Alfven wave oscillation model for the neutron star (NS) kHz quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs), and compare the model with the updated twin kHz
The magnetohydrodynamics model of twin kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations in low-mass X-ray binaries
We suggest an explanation for the twin kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations (kHz QPOs) in low-mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs) based on magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) oscillation modes in neutron star
The correlations between the twin kHz quasi-periodic oscillation frequencies of low-mass X-ray binaries
We analyzed the recently published kHz quasi-period oscillaiton (QPO) data in the neutron star low-mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs), in order to investigate the different correlations of the twin-peak kHz
A model for the upper kHz QPO coherence of an accreting neutron star
We investigate the coherence of the twin kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations (kHz QPOs) in the low-mass X-ray binary (LMXB) theoretically. The profile of upper kHz QPO, interpreted as Keplerian
On the kHz QPO frequency correlations in bright neutron star X-ray binaries
We re-examine the correlation between the frequencies of upper and lower kHz quasi-periodic oscillations (QPO) in bright neutron star low-mass X-ray binaries. By including the kHz QPO frequencies of
The kHz QPOs of Neutron Stars and Millisecond Pulsars and Implications
Abstract The kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations (kHz QPOs) have been found in neutron star low mass X-ray binaries (NS-LMXBs), which present the millisecond timing phenomena close to the surface

Abstract With kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillation (kHz QPO) sources in neutron star low mass X-ray binaries (NS-LMXBs) published up to now, we analyze the centroid frequency (ν) distribution of twin
The amplitude of the kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations in 4U 1636–53 in the frequency-energy space
We present for the neutron-star low-mass X-ray binary 4U 1636–53, and for the first time for any source of kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations (kHz QPOs), the two-dimensional behaviour of the
The estimations of neutron star mass and radius by the kHz QPOs
The kHz quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) have been detected by the RXTE satellite in about thirty neutron stars (NSs) in low mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs), which are usually interpreted to be related
The Magnetohydrodynamical Model of Kilohertz Quasi-periodic Oscillations in Neutron Star Low-mass X-Ray Binaries (II)
We study the kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations (kHz QPOs) in neutron star low-mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs) with a new magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) model, in which the compressed magnetosphere is

KHZ QUASIPERIODIC OSCILLATIONS IN LOW-MASS X-RAY BINARIES AS PROBES OF GENERAL RELATIVITY IN THE STRONG-FIELD REGIME
We consider the interpretation of a pair of kHz quasiperiodic oscillations (QPOs) in the Fourier spectra of two low-mass x-ray binaries, Sco X-1 and 4U1608-52, hosting an old accreting neutron star.
Precise Measurements of the Kilohertz Quasi-periodic Oscillations in 4U 1728–34
We have analyzed 17 observations of the low-mass X-ray binary and atoll source 4U 1728-34, carried out by the Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer in 1996 and 1997. We obtain precise measurements of the
Kilohertz Quasi-periodic Oscillation Peak Separation Is Not Constant in the Atoll Source 4U 1608–52
We present new Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer observations of the low-mass X-ray binary 4U 1608-52 during the decay of its 1998 outburst. We detect, by a direct fast Fourier transform method, the
Neutron Star Masses and Radii as Inferred from Kilohertz Quasi-periodic Oscillations
Kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations (kHz QPOs) have been discovered in the X-ray fluxes of eight low-mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs) with the Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer (RXTE). The characteristics of
Sonic-Point Model of Kilohertz Quasi-periodic Brightness Oscillations in Low-Mass X-Ray Binaries
Quasi-periodic brightness oscillations (QPOs) with frequencies ranging from ~300 to ~1200 Hz have been discovered in the X-ray emission from 14 neutron stars in low-mass binary systems and from
Kilohertz Quasi-periodic Oscillations in Neutron Star Binaries Modeled as Keplerian Oscillations in a Rotating Frame of Reference
Since the discovery of kHz quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) in neutron star binaries, the difference between peak frequencies of two modes in the upper part of the spectrum, i.e., Δω = ωh - ωK has

In recent observations with the Rossi X–Ray Timing Explorer we have detected two simultaneous quasi-periodic oscillation (QPO) peaks in the low mass X–ray binary and atoll source 4U 1735–44. The

We discuss our recent Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) observations of GRO J1744-28, which discovered quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) of the intensities in the energy band 3-12 keV during
Evidence for a 2:3 resonance in Sco X-1 kHz QPOs
We find evidence that the two high frequency QPOs in Sco X-1 are, more often than not, approximately in the 2:3 frequency ratio familiar from studies of black hole candidates (e.g., XTE J1550-564,
