/~Zimmermann formalism is presented for manifestly covariant quantum electrodynamics involving, a gauge parameter a. Contrary to Kiilll5n's assertion, it is shown that one can consistently formulate the asymptotic condition for the electromagnetic field and construct the Fock space of asymptotic states. Except for the case of Feynman gauge (a=1), the formalism ,is somewhat complicated because of the presence of dipole ghosts, but , emphasis is laid on the very existence of a consistent…

Physical charged sectors in quantum electrodynamics. I. Infra-red asymptotics

The infra-red asymptotic behaviour of the physical charged sectors of quantum electrodynamics is investigated. Properly defined locally gauge-invariant charged fields (nonlocal with respect to the

Proof for Gauge Independence of the Energy-Momentum Tensor in Quantum Electrodynamics

Proof is given for gauge independence of the (Belinfante's) symmetric energy-momentum tensor in QED. Under the covariant LSZ-formalism it is shown that expectation values, supplemented with physical

Goldstone equivalence and high energy electroweak physics

The transition between the broken and unbroken phases of massive gauge theories, namely the rearrangement of longitudinal and Goldstone degrees of freedom that occurs at high energy, is not

Perturbation theory in covariant gauges for two-dimensional quantum electrodynamics. Some new aspects of confinement

SummaryA perturbative treatment of two-dimensional quantum electrodynamics with massive fermions is given in local, covariant gauges. The gluon propagator is determined uniquely by the canonical

Covariant gauge formalism for photons in friedmann space-time

SummaryWhen quantization is performed, the photon Lagrangian needs a gauge-fixing term which breaks conformal (Weyl) invariance. This is shown to imply in a Friedmann (conformally flat) space-time

On the basis of the canonical quantization procedure of a system defined on a cubic lattice, we propose a new method, in which resolutions of unity expressed in terms of eigenvectors are naturally

Zur Formulierung quantisierter Feldtheorien

SummaryA new formulation of quantized field theories is proposed. Starting from some general requirements we derive a set of equations which determine the matrix-elements of field operators and the

States in10B from elastic scattering of alphas by6Li

SummaryThe elastic scattering of alpha-particles from6Li has been studied in the incident alpha energy range between 3.30 and 5.00 MeV. A shape analysis of the resonance structures near 3.502 and
