Morris was a close friend of many of the Pre-Raphaelite artists, and their style can be seen in his works. The illustrations for the Kelmscott Press books were designed by several artists including Burne-Jones. In addition to his connection with the Pre-Raphaelites, Morris's aesthetic and social values became a leading force in the Arts and Crafts Movement.
