The KFKINR-Set of Group Constants; Nuclear Data Basis and First Results of its Application to the Recalculation of Fast Zero-Power Reactors

title={The KFKINR-Set of Group Constants; Nuclear Data Basis and First Results of its Application to the Recalculation of Fast Zero-Power Reactors},
  author={Edgar Kiefhaber},
The preparation of the MOXTOT-set in 1969 was a first stepin the desired direction cf improving the group constants used for nuclear calculations of fast reactors. Using this data-set, it was possible to predict tpe criticality of all zero-power reactor-assemblies studied as test cases at that time within an uncertainty limit of ± 2 %. Further i~provementssuperce~ing the MOXTOT-set have been necessary ln order to reduce the lli~certainty range for the criticality prediction and to improve…
Analysis of sodium-void experiments in ZPPR-3 modified phase 3 core
An extensive series of sodium-void reactivity measurements was performed in assembly 3 of Zero Power Plutonium Reactor (ZPPR-3), a mockup of the US Demoplant. In this series, large-zone sodiumvoid
Parametric Studies on Heterogeneous Cores for Fast Breeder Reactors: The Pre-Racine and Racine Experimental Programs
The Pre-Racine and Racine experimental programs, which have been performed on the Masurca critical assembly at Cadarache since 1976, were designed for the study of the neutron physics characteristics
TP2 - a computer program for the calculation of reactivity and kinetic parameters by the two-dimensional neutron transport perturbation theory
TP2 is a FORTRAN-IV program for the calculation of the reactivity, effective delayed neutron fractions and mean generation time by the perturbation theory using the angular fluxes calculated by a
Breeder Reactors with a Fast Neutron Spectrum
Breeder reactors with a fast neutron spectrum have a sufficiently high breeding ratio to attain a fuel utilization of more than 60% which is almost by a factor of 100 higher than that of present
Safety related physics activities in the DEBENE-FBR-project. Present status, needs and perspectives
The physics research and development activities in the DEBENE-Fast-Breeder-Projekt related to core disruptive accidents are discussed. These activities are placed into the context of an overall plant
Calculational analyses have been made for a simple annular assembly of the joint UK/DeBeNe BIZET programme (DaBeNe stands for West Germany (Deutschland), Belgium and the Netherlands). The two groups
Core design analysis of the supercritical water fast reactor
Light Water Reactor technology is nowadays the most successful commercial application of fission reactors for the production of electricity. However, in the next years, nuclear industry will have to
Analysis of Sodium-Void Expe ? iments Performed in Large Heterogeneous Cores
Calculational analyses, habe been made for three assemblies of the joint France(CEA)/Italy (ENEA)j!DeBeNe RACINF. programme (DeBeNe stands for West Germany (Eutschland), &lgium;the Netherlands). The
The Measurement of Fast Reactor Irradiated Minor Actinides and Comparison with Neutron Physics Calculations
Pellets of ten different mixtures of actinide oxides including thorium, neptunium, uranium, plutonium of different isotopic compositions and americium were irradiated in the Material Testing Element
