The most intriguing question of modern astronomy is the question of our Universe formation. The Hubble diagram analysis with Type Ia Supernovae (SNe Ia) is widely used to estimate the cosmological parameters with high accuracy. The cosmological measurements allow us to better understand the early stages of the Universe evolution. Nevertheless, the redshift on the SN Ia Hubble diagram includes the contribution from the unknown peculiar velocities that decreases the accuracy of such measurements…

Correcting for peculiar velocities of Type Ia supernovae in clusters of galaxies
Context. Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) are widely used to measure the expansion of the Universe. To perform such measurements the luminosity and cosmological redshift (z) of the SNe Ia have to be
Redshifts distribution in A262
Galaxy clusters are the largest virialized systems in the Universe containing a collection of galaxies of dierent redshifts. The redshift distribution of galaxies in galaxy clusters is concentrated
Peculiar velocity measurement in a clumpy universe
In this work we address the issue of peculiar velocity measurement in a perturbed Friedmann universe using the deviations from measured luminosity distances of standard candles from background FRW
We present spectral and photometric observations of 10 Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) in the redshift range 0.16 " z " 0.62. The luminosity distances of these objects are determined by methods that
The Observational Distribution of Internal Velocity Dispersions in Nearby Galaxy Clusters
We analyze the internal velocity dispersion σ of a sample of 172 nearby galaxy clusters (z ≤ 0.15), each of which has at least 30 available galaxy redshifts and spans a large richness range. Cluster
Deep spectroscopy in nearby galaxy clusters – V. The Perseus cluster
Dwarfs are the largest population of galaxies in number in the nearby Universe. Deep spectroscopic data are still missing to obtain a better understanding of their formation and evolution
Measurements of $\Omega$ and $\Lambda$ from 42 high redshift supernovae
We report measurements of the mass density, Omega_M, and cosmological-constant energy density, Omega_Lambda, of the universe based on the analysis of 42 Type Ia supernovae discovered by the Supernova
The CfA Redshift Survey: Data for the South Galactic Cap*
We present redshifts for a sample of 4391 galaxies with magnitude mB(0) ≤ 15.5 covering 20h ≤ α ≤ 4h in right ascension and -25 ≤ δ ≤ 90° in declination. This sample is complete for all galaxies in
Measures of location and scale for velocities in clusters of galaxies. A robust approach
The novel estimators proposed for the kinematical properties of clusters of galaxies are both resistant in the presence of outliers and robust for a broad range of non-Gaussian underlying
The MCXC: a meta-catalogue of x-ray detected clusters of galaxies
We present the compilation and properties of a meta-catalogue of X-ray detected clusters of galaxies, the MCXC. This very large catalogue is based on publicly available ROSAT All Sky Survey-based
