We present the redshift data for a survey of galaxies selected from the data base of the Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS). This survey extends the 1.936 Jy sample of Strauss et al. (1992a) from a (cid:13)ux limit of 1.936 Jy at 60(cid:22)m to 1.2 Jy. The survey extension consists of 3920 sources in the (cid:13)ux interval 1.2 { 1.936 Jy, of which 2663 are galaxies with measured redshifts. Fourteen objects (0.52%) do not have redshifts. The survey covers 87.6% of the sky. The data for the…

The Significance of the Fluctuations in the IRAS 1.2 Jy Galaxy Catalogue

In an analysis of the IRAS 1.2 Jy redshift catalogue, with emphasis on the separate examination of northern and southern parts (in galactic coordinates), we found that the clustering of galaxies

The IRAS 1 JY Survey of Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxies

A complete flux-limited sample of 118 ultraluminous infrared galaxies (ULIGs) has been identified from the IRAS Faint Source Catalog (FSC). The selection criteria were a 60 μm flux density greater

We present the results of the 2MASS Redshift Survey (2MRS), a ten-year project to map the full three-dimensional distribution of galaxies in the nearby universe. The Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS)

Fluctuations in the IRAS 1.2 Jy catalogue

In an analysis of the IRAS 1.2 Jy redshift catalogue, with emphasis on the separate examination of northern and southern parts (in galactic coordinates), we found that the clustering properties of

The CfA Redshift Survey: Data for the South Galactic Cap

We present redshifts for a sample of 4391 galaxies with magnitude mB(0) ≤ 15.5 covering 20h ≤ α ≤ 4h in right ascension and -2.°5 ≤ δ ≤ 90° in declination. This sample is complete for all galaxies in

H I line observations of 2MASS galaxies in the zone of avoidance

Aims: A pilot survey has been made to obtain 21 cm H i emission line profiles for 197 objects in the zone of avoidance (ZoA) that were classified as galaxies in the 2MASS all-sky near-infrared

2MASS Extended Sources in the Zone of Avoidance

A new high-resolution near-infrared mapping effort, the Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS), is now underway and will provide a complete census of galaxies as faint as 13.5 mag (3 mJy) at 2.2 μm for

Groups of Galaxies in the Two Micron All Sky Redshift Survey

We present the results of applying a percolation algorithm to the initial release of the Two Micron All Sky Survey Extended Source Catalog, using subsequently measured redshifts for almost all of the

The Velocity Field Predicted by the Optical Redshift Survey

We have used the Optical Redshift Survey (ORS) of Santiago et al. to construct the gravity field due to fluctuations in the galaxy density field out to distances of 8000 km s-1. At large scales where

A Complete Redshift Survey to the Zwicky Catalog Limit in a 2h × 15° Region around 3C 273

We compile 1113 redshifts (648 new measurements, 465 from the literature) for Zwicky catalog galaxies in the region (-3.°5 ≤ δ ≤ 8.°5, 11.ͪ5 ≤ α ≤ 13.ͪ5). We include redshifts for 114 component

A General Catalog of HI Observations of Galaxies: The Reference Catalog

This dissertation aims to provide a history of quantitative quantification of the determinants of infectious disease in the United States from 1989 to 2002 and then investigates its origins as well as specific cases up to and including the year 2000.

Catalogue of Radial Velocities of Galaxies

A catalogue of radial velocities of galaxies has been completed which lists all radial velocities published until the end of December, 1980, for galaxies in both the northern and the southern
