HD 40307 is a K2 V metal-deficient star at a distance of only 13 parsec, part of the HARPS GTO high-precision planet-search programme. The three planets on circular orbits have very low minimum masses of respectively 4.2, 6.9 and 9.2 Earth masses and periods of 4.3, 9.6 and 20.5 days. The planet with the shortest period is the lightest planet… Expand

The HARPS search for southern extra-solar planets: XVIII. An Earth-mass planet in the GJ 581 planetary system
The GJ 581 planetary system was already known to harbour three planets, including two presumably rocky planets which straddle its habitable zone. We report here the detection of an additional planetExpand
The HARPS search for southern extra-solar planets. XVII. Super-Earth and Neptune-mass planets in m
We report on the detection of two new multiple planet systems orbiting solar-like stars HD 47 186 and HD 181 433. The first system contains a hot Neptune of 22.78 M⊕ with a 4.08-day period and aExpand
The HARPS search for southern extra-solar planets - XVI. HD 45364, a pair of planets in a 3:2 mean motion resonance
Precise radial-velocity measurements with the HARPS spectrograph reveal the presence of two planets orbiting the solar-type star HD 45364. The companion masses are M sini = 0.187 MJup and 0.658 MJup,Expand
The HARPS search for southern extra-solar planets - XX. Planets around the active star BD -08°2823
We report the detection of a planetary system around BD-08 degrees 2823 that includes at least one Uranus-mass planet and one Saturnmass planet. This discovery serendipitously originates from aExpand
THE NASA-UC ETA-EARTH PROGRAM. II. A PLANET ORBITING HD 156668 WITH A MINIMUM MASS OF FOUR EARTH MASSES
We report the discovery of HD 156668 b, an extrasolar planet with a minimum mass of M_P sin i = 4.15 M_⊕. This planet was discovered through Keplerian modeling of precise radial velocities fromExpand
The NASA-UC Eta-Earth Program. I. A Super-Earth Orbiting HD 7924
We report the discovery of the first low-mass planet to emerge from the NASA-UC Eta-Earth Program, a super-Earth orbiting the K0 dwarf HD 7924. Keplerian modeling of precise Doppler radial velocitiesExpand
Three Super-Earths Orbiting HD 7924
We report the discovery of two super-Earth mass planets orbiting the nearby K0.5 dwarf HD 7924 which was previously known to host one small planet. The new companions have masses of 7.9 and 6.4Expand
The HARPS search for southern extra-solar planets
Context. We present radial-velocity measurements of eight stars observed with the HARPS Echelle spectrograph mounted on the 3.6-m telescope in La Silla (ESO, Chile). Data span more than ten years andExpand
A SUPER-EARTH AND TWO NEPTUNES ORBITING THE NEARBY SUN-LIKE STAR 61 VIRGINIS
We present precision radial velocity data that reveal a multiple exoplanet system orbiting the bright nearby G5V star 61 Virginis. Our 4.6 years of combined Keck/HIRES and Anglo-Australian TelescopeExpand
A SUPER-EARTH ORBITING THE NEARBY SUN-LIKE STAR HD 1461
We present precision radial velocity (RV) data that reveal a Super-Earth mass planet and two probable additional planets orbiting the bright nearby G0V star HD 1461. Our 12.8 years of Keck HighExpand

The HARPS search for southern extra-solar planets. XI. Super-Earths (5 and 8 M{⊕}) in a 3-planet system
This Letter reports on the detection of two super-Earth planets in the Gl 581 system, which is already known to harbour a hot Neptune. One of the planets has a mass of 5 M⊕ and resides at the “warm”Expand
An extrasolar planetary system with three Neptune-mass planets
TLDR
Simulations show that the system of three Neptune-mass planets orbiting the nearby star HD 69830 is in a dynamically stable configuration and theoretical calculations favour a mainly rocky composition for both inner planets, while the outer planet probably has a significant gaseous envelope surrounding its rocky/icy core. Discovery of a cool planet of 5.5 Earth masses through gravitational microlensing
TLDR
The detection of a cool, sub-Neptune-mass planets may be more common than gas giant planets, as predicted by the core accretion theory, and is suggested to name OGLE-2005-BLG-390Lb, indicating a planetary mass companion to the lens star of the microlensing event. Expand
Spectroscopic parameters for 451 stars in the HARPS GTO planet search program - Stellar [Fe/H] and the frequency of exo-Neptunes
