Nearctic species Limnodrilus maumeensis Brinkhurst et Cook, 1966 (Oligochaeta, Tubificidae) recorded in the Russia for the first time from the Don River near Rostov-on-Don City. Variations of penis sheath of sexually mature specimens are measured and illustrated by photographs. Data on macrozoobenthos community in the sampling site are provided, including species composition, number and biomass of species.

The first record of a new alien species Limnodrilus cervix Brinkhurst, 1963 (Annelida, Clitellata) in the Vistula Lagoon (southern Baltic Sea)

The present work reports the first record of Limnodrilus cervix in the south-eastern part of the Baltic Sea and the distribution of this North American species in Europe is presented.

Bratislavia dadayi (Michaelsen 1905) (Annelida, Clitellata, Naididae): discovery of an alien oligochaete in a technogenic fresh water body in Ukraine.

The occurrence of B. dadayi in samples taken over several years, and the presence of sexually mature individuals in the Ukrainian population indicate the worm's successful naturalization in the new habitat.

Assessing the Risks of Aquatic Species Invasions via European Inland Waterways: From Concepts to Environmental Indicators

A conceptual risk assessment model for invasive alien species introductions via European inland waterways, with specific protocols that focus on the development of environmental indicators within the socioeconomic context of the driving forces–pressures–state–impact–response framework is developed.
