Fanconi anemia (FA) is a rare multi-genic, autosomal and X-linked recessive disorder characterized by hematological abnormalities, developmental defects and increased cancer susceptibility. Patient-derived FA cells display heightened sensitivity to DNA cross-linking agents such as mitomycin C (MMC).
