This paper discusses the characters with the entering tone in Arabian-Chinese dia-phone literature in Huihui Prescription (回回药方). It analyses their Arabian pronunciation and indicates that at that time, characters with the entering tone are all open syllables, without such endings as t, k or p typical in the entering tone.
