We test the sensitivity of the solutions of the p-median model to the shape of the underlying communication network. More precisely, the p-median problem is applied to 17 different networks representing various regular, radial, and circum-radial configurations. This study leads to interesting conclusions in the domain of regional economics and land planning and to striking illustrations of already discussed theoretical problems.
