The Economic Value of Irrigation Water and Water Productivity Indices: Case Study of Khatam City, Yazd Province

The aim of the present study is to estimate the value of irrigation water and to measure water productivity indices. To this end, three indices of crop per drop, benefit per drop, and net benefit per drop were used. The results suggested that the water shadow prices are at a maximum level in September, August, and July, respectively. In addition, the water productivity is at a minimum level at the same periods.
