In this paper, we respond to the recent paper in the Journal of Management by Becker, Cropanzano, and Sanfey (2011) entitled Organizational Neuroscience: Taking Organizational Theory Inside the Neural Black Box. More specifically, we build on the ideas of Becker et al. (2011), to first clarify and extend their work, and then to explore the critical philosophical issues involved in drawing inferences from neuroscientific research.
