The distribution and seasonality of benthic macroinvertebrates in Sombreiro River was studied for a perion of two years (August, 2007 - July, 2009). Of the twenty-eight (28) species observed in the area, all the species of the class Oligochaeta did not occur in station1 (Degema) but occurred in the remaining three stations 2 (Ogbele), 3 (Ihuaba) and 4 (Odiemudie).
